The UK's major broadband providers attract high levels of "negative buzz", a new study has found.
According to market research firm Keller Fay, some three million negative opinions about BT, Sky, PlusNet, TalkTalk and Virgin are exchanged every day.
TalkTalk has the highest negative buzz, with the organisation claiming 29 per cent of word of mouth discussions about the company are not positive.
Steve Thomson, marketing director of Keller Fay UK, said: “Providers in this sector are struggling to achieve positive buzz for their services in the current environment."
However, he added customers will give praise where it is due and said PlusNet is the major provider with the least negative buzz.
Keller Fay found the broadband and telecoms sector is one of the worst for negative buzz, with even banks receiving more positive word of mouth recommendations.
