UPS launches new click and collect service header image

UPS has launched a new click and collect service that means customers will no longer have to wait at home for deliveries.

The logistics company has created the UPS Access Point service, which means people can collect packages from locations such as shops, petrol stations and newsagents.

UPS claims this will make online deliveries quicker and more predictable. It will also be more convenient for consumers who can collect their packages while running errands such as shopping or buying petrol.

Joe Mozzali, vice president of strategy at UPS Europe, said Access Point provides "convenient and reliable business to customer (B2C) delivery solutions and the very best customer service".

He added: "The B2C sector is and will continue to be a powerful growth area. We are committed to offering our customers the solutions they want."

A survey by IMRG found repeated delivery attempts cost consumers and retailers an estimated £500 million per year. UPS believes its Access Point service can eliminate this problem.
